Chapter 6

Bliss and white-hot fire, all mixed in one small little package, that’s what she was. Solron reclined on the bed naked, watching Sara fold clean clothes before she placed them in their compartments. From her short, clipped movements, he noted her nervousness.

He rolled from the bed and pressed himself along her back, wrapping his arms around her middle before sliding his hands up over her shirt to cup her breasts.

“You worry too much, star shine.” He bent, then nibbled on her earlobe. Never would he get enough of tasting her.

“You said we’ll be on Earth in a few hours. I just needed something to do,” she said, her voice breathy as she leaned back, her softness molding against his harder length.

No matter how many times he touched, tasted or took her, he hungered for more.

“You will be with me all the way to Earth?”

“All the way.” He would face it, see her safe, and then walk away. Even if it did tear out his heart, it was for the best.

She twisted in his arms and gazed up at him. He loved the feel of her soft body against his harder one.

“I don’t know how to thank you for all you’ve done for me.”

Tenderly, he stroked the side of her face. “You have, star shine, more than you know.”

Not wanting any more words between them to spoil the moment, he dipped his head, capturing her lips in a soft, teasing kiss.

He wanted to block out the thoughts of returning to his life on Kelon without her, a life of constant work and loneliness, while others planned his future. Anger and possession reeled through him. Sara opened his eyes to the path his life was taking.

Choice, or duty to his family. So much was already set in place that he could not back out now, could not offend his family after their hard work and dedication.

But could he let Sara go? Every part of him screamed she was his. He squeezed her tighter; her arms stole up around his neck. He closed his eyes, inhaling her light scent as her soft fingers wove into his hair. He adored everything about her: her touch, her scent. Every wonderful sensation he savored.

She broke the kiss, gazing up with her silvery eyes.

“No regrets, Solron. Life is too short to regret your choices. I want to look back on my time with you with a smile. I want to remember how wonderful it is to be with you, your touch, your kiss and the pleasure given without reserve.”

He did not regret touching her, taking her body, giving her everything he was. Still, he longed to give her more than just his touch, more than pleasure, yet it was all he had to offer her. Wasn’t it?

He slid his hand to cup her rounded bottom, no longer boney as it once was. It filled his hands perfectly. He lifted her against him.

Her soft moan filled the air when he pressed his erection against her hot core, separated only by the thin barrier of her shirt.
